Welcome to FastRent.lk. By accessing or using our website you agree to these Terms & Conditions. If you do not agree, please do not use the site.

1. What FastRent.lk is

FastRent.lk is an online marketplace that lets owners advertise houses, commercial spaces and vehicles for rent, and lets renters find and contact them directly. We are a listings platform only — we are not a party to any rental agreement, broker, or agent. All rental contracts are made directly between the owner and the renter.

2. Accounts

• You must be 18 or older and provide accurate information to register.
• You are responsible for keeping your password secure and for all activity under your account.
• You may not impersonate others or create accounts to abuse the platform.

3. Posting listings

• You may only list property or vehicles you own or are authorised to rent out.
• Listings must be accurate, include a real price, and follow our Community Guidelines.
• A one-time fee of Rs. 600 applies per listing. Once approved, a listing stays live for 5 days from the approval date, then expires automatically.
• We review every listing before it goes live and may reject or remove any that breach these terms — the listing fee for rejected/removed listings is handled per our Refund Policy.

4. Fees & payment

The listing fee is payable by bank deposit/transfer as described on the posting page. We charge no commission on any rental. You are responsible for any taxes that apply to your own rental income.

5. Prohibited use

You agree not to post fake, duplicate or misleading listings, hide prices, spam, scam, harass other users, or use the platform for any unlawful purpose. Full details are in our Community Guidelines.

6. Dealings between users

FastRent.lk verifies listings in good faith but does not guarantee the condition, legality, safety or availability of any property or vehicle, or the conduct of any user. You deal with other users at your own risk — always follow our Safety Tips, inspect in person, and confirm terms in writing before paying.

7. Limitation of liability

To the maximum extent permitted by law, FastRent.lk is not liable for any loss, damage, dispute or fraud arising from rentals arranged through the platform, or from your use of the site. The service is provided "as is".

8. Intellectual property

The FastRent.lk name, design and content are our property. By posting content you grant us a licence to display and promote it on the platform. You must own the rights to any photos or text you upload.

9. Suspension & termination

We may suspend or terminate accounts that breach these terms, without notice and without refund of any listing fee.

10. Governing law

These terms are governed by the laws of Sri Lanka, and any disputes are subject to the jurisdiction of the Sri Lankan courts.

11. Changes

We may update these terms from time to time. Continued use of the site after changes means you accept the updated terms.
